Deputy Commander of Multinational Corps Northeast

The Deputy Commander acts on the Commander’s behalf when required and performs other duties as directed by the Commander. Furthermore, the Deputy Commander advises the Commander in all fields of concern related to the Corps.

Major General Bogusław Samol assumed the position of the Deputy Commander of the Multinational Corps Northeast on 2 April 2012. General Samol, born in 1959, during his professional career served, among other positions, as the commander of a platoon, battalion, chief of staff and deputy commander of a mechanized regiment and brigade. He was the Commander of 10th Armoured Cavalry Brigade and 16th Mechanized Division. Major General Samol held positions at the General Directorate of Military Reconnaissance, General Staff and Operations Command. From 2010 to 2012, General Samol served in Afghanistan as the Deputy Chief of Staff Resources at International Security Assistance Force Headquarters (ISAF HQ), which was the highest position assumed by a Polish officer in ISAF structures.
